The High Commission of Canada in Brunei Darussalam hosted an Iftar Reception. It took place at Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, 4th March late afternoon.

Present were Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence, AND Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy. In the welcoming remarks, His Excellency Doctor Tamer Mansy, High Commissioner of Canada to Brunei Darussalam among others underscored the longstanding friendship between Brunei Darussalam and Canada, and highlighted Brunei's important role as a founding member of ASEAN.
